Dive heroes:

Dive heroes are Overwatch 2 heroes that quickly reach isolated or vulnerable targets, force close-range fights, and escape before the enemy can respond effectively.

They are usually selected when a team wants to pressure the backline, punish supports or damage heroes away from their team, or start fights on high ground and other hard-to-reach positions. Dive compositions work best when multiple heroes engage at the same time, because the target can be overwhelmed before help arrives. This makes mobility, timing, and target focus more important than raw frontline durability. For example, Winston may jump onto an enemy Ana on high ground while Genji or Tracer follows in from another angle, forcing the support to defend under immediate pressure or retreat.
